O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.
O Allah, forgive [Name of the deceased] and have mercy on him, grant him well-being, pardon him, honor his reception, make his grave spacious, wash him with water, snow, and hail. Purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from dirt. Give him a better home than his home, a better family than his family, and a better spouse than his spouse. Enter him into Paradise, and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire. Protect him from the trial of the grave, settle his debts, and fulfill his vows.
O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord of all things and their Owner, I bear witness that there is no god but You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice, and I seek refuge in You from being returned to the most wretched of ages, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of this world, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave.
O Allah, forgive [so-and-so], elevate his status among those who are guided, and leave [a good legacy] for his descendants who remain. Forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. Make his grave spacious for him and illuminate it for him.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female-servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever enacted. Your justice over me is forever true. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, indeed I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female-servant. My forehead is in Your Hand. Your decree concerning me is ever effective. Your judgment over me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or taught to anyone from Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the delight of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

O Allah, grant us rain. O Allah, grant us rain. O Allah, grant us rain.
O Allah, I ask You for righteousness and piety in this journey of mine, and for deeds that please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Guardian of the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, the sorrow of seeing [something unpleasant], and the evil misfortune in wealth and family upon returning. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, from the trial of the grave, the punishment of the grave, the trial of the Fire, and the punishment of the Fire, and the evil of the trial of wealth, and the evil of the trial of poverty.
