Duas during times of difficulty and hardship
O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting Lord, by Your mercy I seek help. Rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself even for the span of an eye.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the delight of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You make difficulty, if You wish, easy.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, our Lord and Lord of all things, the One who causes the grain and date seeds to split, the One who sent down the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an. I seek refuge in You from the evil of all things You are seizing by their forelocks. O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You; You are the Last, so there is nothing after You; You are the Apparent, so there is nothing above You; You are the Hidden, so there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debts for us and enrich us from poverty.
O Allah, I ask You for its (this matter's) goodness and the goodness of what You have decreed it to be, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what You have decreed it to be. O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness at the time of death, and guidance when people go astray. I ask You for coolness of the eye that never ceases, and I ask You for contentment after the decree. I ask You for a pleasant life after death, and I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face, and the longing to meet You, without any harmful distress or misleading trials. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us leaders who guide others and are guided.
O Allah, make the best of my life the part that is last, and the best of my deeds the deeds that are done at the end, and the best of my days the day when I meet You.
Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and leave not in our hearts hatred [for those who have believed]. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.
Affliction has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
