O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord of all things and their Owner, I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of Satan and his idolatry, and that I might commit an evil against myself or draw it to any Muslim.
Allahumma 'aalimal-ghaibi wash-shahaadati, faatiras-samaawaati wal-ardi, Rabba kulli shay'in wa maleekahu, ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa anta, a'udhu bika min sharri nafsi, wa min shar-rish-shaytaani wa shirkih, wa an aqtarifa 'ala nafsi soo'an, aw ajurrahu ilaa muslimin.

Virtues & Benefits
Reciting this dua offers comprehensive protection. It seeks refuge from the evil within ourselves (our lower desires and inclinations), from the whispers and traps of Satan, and importantly, from causing harm to oneself or other Muslims through our actions or words. The tongue, in particular, is a powerful organ capable of building relationships or destroying them, spreading truth or falsehood, and earning immense reward or severe punishment. This dua is a shield against its misuse.
