Duas for overcoming sadness and depression
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which is with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my worries.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is inevitable, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You, which You have named Yourself by, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, bestow Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, just as You bestowed Your blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, bestow Your protection upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, just as You bestowed Your protection upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

I ask that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxieties.
Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god but Him. I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.
