O Allah, I ask You for righteousness and piety in this journey of mine, and for deeds that please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Guardian of the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, the sorrow of seeing [something unpleasant], and the evil misfortune in wealth and family upon returning. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, from the trial of the grave, the punishment of the grave, the trial of the Fire, and the punishment of the Fire, and the evil of the trial of wealth, and the evil of the trial of poverty.
Allahumma inni as'aluka fi safari hadha al-birra wat-taqwa, wa minal-'amali ma tardha. Allahumma hawwin 'alayna safarana hadha, watwi 'anna bu'dahu. Allahumma anta as-sahibu fis-safari, wal-khaleefatu fil-ahli. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min wa'tha'is-safari, wa ka'abatil-mandhari, wa su'il-munqalabi fil-mali wal-ahli. Wa a'udhu bika Rabbi min fitnatil-qabri, wa 'adhabil-qabri, wa fitnatin-nari, wa 'adhabin-nari, wa sharri ghina-l-fitnati, wa sharri faqr-il-fitnati.
