Duas for the marketplace, career, and professional life
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, instead of what You have made unlawful, and enrich me with Your bounty, so that I may not need recourse to anyone other than You.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and old age, and from stinginess. I seek refuge in You from the trials of the grave and the punishment of the grave. I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Fire and the punishment of the Fire. I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trial of wealth, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trial of poverty. I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trial of debt. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal). O Allah, cleanse my heart with the water of snow and hail, and purify my heart from sins just as You purified the white garment from dirt. And distance me from my sins just as You have distanced the East and the West.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and grief, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the domination of men.
O Allah, bless our trade and transactions until we are content and equal. O Allah, make it a lawful and pure provision.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and distress, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female-servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is inevitable. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself by, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxieties.
O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, the goodness of its people, and the goodness of what is in it. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of its people, and the evil of what is in it.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and deeds that are accepted.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.
O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is beneficial, good provision, and deeds that are accepted.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demise of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that displeasures You.
