O Allah, I seek Your guidance [in deciding] with Your knowledge, and I seek ability [to fulfill] with Your power, and I ask from Your immense grace. For indeed, You have power and I have no power; You have knowledge and I have no knowledge; and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter – specify it (the education of my son/daughter) – is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the end of my affairs (or: in my present and future matters), then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is evil for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the end of my affairs (or: in my present and future matters), then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me that which is good wherever it may be, and make me satisfied with it.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and deeds accepted (by You).
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt, the overwhelming of the enemy, the overwhelming of misery, and the evil rejoicing of the enemies.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and overcome by men.
Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all being]. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
My Lord, indeed I seek refuge in You, lest I ask of You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your decree concerning me is inevitable, and Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or taught to any one of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my distress.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demolition of Your blessings, the turning of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all that You detest. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of character, deeds, and desires.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.
O Allah, I ask of Your bounty.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and overcome by men.
