O Allah, forgive him and have mercy upon him, and grant him well-being and pardon him. Be generous to him in hospitality and make his grave spacious. Wash him with water, snow, and hail. Cleanse him of his sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. Give him an abode better than his former home, and a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse. Admit him to Paradise, and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment is at work in me. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name You have called Yourself, or taught to any one of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my sadness and a reliever of my worries.
In the name of Allah.
O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask of Your immense bounty. For You have power, and I have no power; You have knowledge, and I have no knowledge; and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (mention the matter here) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my end – or he said: in my present and my future – then ordain it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my end – or he said: in my present and my future – then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and ordain for me whatever is good, and make me pleased with it.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whisperings of devils and from their presence.
Our Lord, and make us submitters to You and from our descendants a Muslim community. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
O Allah, benefit me with what You have taught me, teach me that which will benefit me, and increase me in knowledge.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the distress of thinking, the sorrow of planning, the hardship of fate, and the rejoicing of enemies.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and from being overcome by men.
O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, the goodness of what is in it, and the goodness of what it has been sent with. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what it has been sent with. O Allah, may it be a rainstorm that brings benefit.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hellfire, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death.
