Duas for sincere repentance and turning back to Allah
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the reversal of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You dislike. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers."
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity worthy of worship except You. You created me, and I am Your slave. I hold to Your covenant and Your promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I acknowledge my sins. So forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the evil suggestions of devils and from their presence.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not fear (You), from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not heard. O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment.
I seek forgiveness from Allah and I turn to Him in repentance.
O Allah, forgive me for all my sins, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden, and the sins of every part of me. O Allah, I ask You for the mercy which is not sent down except by Your command, and which no one else possesses. I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You to overlook my slip, and to restore my blessings to me, and to loosen a knot from my tongue, and to make my heart understand.
O Allah, forgive me for what I have sent ahead and what I have left behind, what I have concealed and what I have made public, what I have exceeded in, and what You know better than I. You are the One Who sends forth and the One Who delays; there is no god but You.
O Allah, indeed I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name You have called Yourself, by which You have taught any of Your creation, or which You have revealed in Your Book, or which You have kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a remover of my grief, and a banisher of my worry.
O Allah, I ask You for a heart that is humble and submissive (to You), a tongue that remembers You, deeds that are accepted, and a pure heart.
O Allah, forgive me my seriousness and my jesting, my unintentional and my intentional mistakes, my resolve and my jesting, and all of that is with me.
