Duas for sincere repentance and turning back to Allah
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your favors, the change of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. I seek refuge in You from the hardships of trials, the attainment of misery, the evil of decrees, and the rejoicing of enemies. O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all matters and a firm resolve for what is right. I ask You for gratitude for Your favors and excellence in worshipping You. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the good of what You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know. I ask for Your forgiveness for what You know, for You are the Knower of the unseen.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the slips of men and from evil character and desires.
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity worthy of worship except You. You created me, and I am Your slave. I am abiding by Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to You Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my sins. So forgive me, for indeed, none can forgive sins except You.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of every creature You are seizing by its forelock. I seek refuge in You from the evil of envy, hatred, and stinginess.
O Allah, forgive me for my sin, all of it, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the open and the secret, my companions and my errors.
O Allah, forgive my mistakes, my ignorance, and my excess in my affairs, and all that You know better about me than I do. O Allah, forgive me for my jesting and my seriousness, my errors and my intentional sins, my resolve and my jesting; all of that is with me. O Allah, forgive me for what I have sent forth and what I have delayed, for what I have concealed and what I have made public, and for what You know better about me than I do. You are the One Who brings forth and the One Who delays; You have power over all things.
O Allah, I ask You for a sincere repentance, and I ask You to forgive me for what I have brought forward and what I have delayed, for what I have concealed and what I have revealed, and for what I know and what I do not know of (my sins). You are the One Who brings forth and the One Who delays; there is no god but You.
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective, and Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or have taught to anyone from Your creation, or have revealed in Your Book, or have kept hidden in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for what I have done and what I have delayed, for what I have done secretly and what I have done openly, and for what You know better than I. You are the One Who sends forth and the One Who delays. There is no god but You.
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear; and pardon us; and forgive us, and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.
