Duas for qiyam al-layl, tahajjud, and late night devotion
O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, our Lord and Lord of all things, the Splitter of the grain seed and the date stone, the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran. I seek refuge in You from the evil of all things You are seizing by the forelock. O Allah, You are the First, and there is nothing before You; You are the Last, and there is nothing after You; You are the Mostๆพ (Manifest), and there is nothing above You; You are the Most Hidden, and there is nothing beyond You. Discharge my debt for me and enrich me from poverty.
O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And to You belongs all praise. To You belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And to You belongs all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And to You belongs all praise. You are the King of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And to You belongs all praise. You are the Truth, and Your promise is true, and meeting You is true, and Your speech is true, and Paradise is true, and the Fire is true, and the Prophets are true, and Muhammad ๏ทบ is true, and the Hour is true. O Allah, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed, and upon You I have relied, and to You I have turned, and by You I have disputed, and to You I have judged. So forgive me what I have sent forth and what I have delayed, and what I have concealed and what I have declared, and what You know better than I. You are the One who sends forth and the One who delays. There is no god but You, and there is no might nor power except by You.
May Allah have mercy on a man who gets up at night, prays, and wakes his wife. If she refuses, he sprinkles water on her face. May Allah have mercy on a woman who gets up at night, prays, and wakes her husband. If he refuses, she sprinkles water on his face.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and deeds accepted.
O Allah, accept my night prayer.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name You have called Yourself, or taught to any one of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, adorn me with the adornment of the Quran, honor me with the honor of the Quran, elevate me with the nobility of the Quran, make me among the people of the Quran, make me among the soldiers of the Quran, make me among the family of the Quran, make me among those freed by the Quran, heal the chests of the people of the Quran, make us love the Quran, adorn our hearts with it, clothe us in the garments of the Quran, bestow upon us the blessings of the Quran, and grant us its recitation, contemplation, and acting upon it in the manner You are pleased with from us. Indeed, You have power over all things.
