Duas for qiyam al-layl, tahajjud, and late night devotion
O Allah, I ask You for a soul at ease, which believes in meeting You, is content with Your decree, and accepts Your giving.
O Allah, distance me from my sins as You have distanced the East from the West. O Allah, purify me from my sins as a white garment is purified from dirt. O Allah, wash me of my sins with water, snow, and hail.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.
Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and our offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example to the righteous.
O Allah, Lord of Gabriel, Michael, and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You judge between Your servants concerning that over which they used to differ. Guide me to the truth about that wherein they differed by Your permission. Indeed, You guide whomsoever You will to a straight path.
O Allah, I ask You, for all praise is due to You; there is no god but You, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, O Owner of Majesty and Honor. I ask You to answer my supplication with what I hope for, and to give me what I have asked You for, and to let me attain what I have intended of good, and to keep away from me what I dislike, and to forgive me, and to bless me in my soul, my life, my family, and my wealth, and to make me among Your righteous servants. O Allah, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
O Allah, I ask You to grant me Your love and the love of those who benefit me in Your sight. O Allah, grant me deeds done out of Your love. O Allah, make my love for You dearer to me than myself, my family, and than cold water. O Allah, make faith beloved to us and adorn it in our hearts, and make disbelief, wickedness, and disobedience hateful to us, and make us among the rightly guided. O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner, and make our families a source of joy for our eyes in this world and the Hereafter.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure sustenance, and accepted deeds.
O Allah, I ask You for a soul at peace, one that believes in meeting You, is content with Your decree, and accepts Your gifts.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, make for me a light in my heart, and a light in my hearing, and a light in my sight, and a light in front of me, and a light behind me, and a light on my right, and a light on my left, and a light above me, and a light below me, and a light within myself. And magnify for me the light, and grant me light, and make me a light.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and old age, and from stinginess. And I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the trials of life and death.
