Duas for seeking forgiveness from Allah
O Allah, forgive me for what I have committed in the past and what I will do in the future, what I have done in secret and what I have done openly. You are the One Who brings forth and the One Who delays; there is no god but You.
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
O Allah, forgive me for all of my sins, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden, the outward and the inward.
O Allah, indeed I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You, which You have named Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my grief, and a reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, the reversal of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure.
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, and to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. And if You intend to try people with a trial, then take me to Yourself without being tried. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.
O Allah, I ask You for sincere repentance.
My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my home as a believer and the believing men and believing women.
O Allah, forgive me my mistakes, my ignorance, my excesses in my affairs, and whatever You know better about me. O Allah, forgive me my joking and my seriousness, my unintentional and my intentional sins, my resolve and my jesting, and all of that is with me.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the change of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow. I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess. And I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and being subjugated by men.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, and the evil of my sight, and the evil of my tongue, and the evil of my heart, and the evil of my semen.
