Duas for seeking forgiveness from Allah
O Allah, You are my Lord. None has the right to be worshipped except You. You created me, and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise [to You] as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge before You Your blessings upon me, and I acknowledge my sins. So forgive me, for verily none forgives sins except You.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the actions of Shaytan and the bad dreams sent by Shaytan, and from anything that might lead me to a negative outcome.
My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my home as a believer and the believing men and believing women.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or which You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a remover of my sadness, and a disperser of my worries.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is inevitable, and Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to anyone of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a departure for my sadness and a remover of my anxiety.
"My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house as a believer and the believing men and believing women."
My Lord, indeed I seek refuge in You, lest I ask of You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers.
I believe in Allah and His Messengers.
I seek forgiveness from Allah and I turn to Him in repentance.
O Allah, I ask You for the ability to do good deeds, and to abstain from evil deeds, and to love the poor, and that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And if You intend to try Your creation, then take me to Yourself without putting me through trials. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your judgment concerning me is just. I ask You by every name You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my grief and a remover of my worries.
Glory be to Him Who has subjected this (transport) to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And indeed, we are to our Lord to return. O Allah, we ask You in this journey of ours for goodness and piety, and for such deeds as please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us, and make its distance short for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Successor in the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, and from a sorrowful sight, and from bad circumstances in wealth and family.
