O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask of Your great bounty. For You decree and I have no power, You know and I have no knowledge, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter – and name your need: choosing a mentor for me – is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my end (or he said: in my present and future affairs), then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my end (or he said: in my present and future affairs), then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me whatever is good, and make me pleased with it.
O Allah, forgive me my sin, all of it, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the open and the secret. O Allah, I ask You for lawful, good, and blessed provision.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hellfire. Indeed, its punishment is ever a permanent ruin.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whispers of the devils and from their presence.
O Allah, Lord of Jibreel, Mika'il, and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen. You judge between Your servants concerning that wherein they differ. Guide me concerning that wherein they differ of the truth by Your leave. Verily, You guide whom You will to a straight path.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.
My Lord, expand for me my breast, and make my task easy for me, and loosen the knot from my tongue, that they may understand my speech.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and by the domination of men.
Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
O Allah, make our children companions of Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the highest Firdaws.
