اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا وَشَرِّ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ - اَللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, the goodness of what is in it, and the goodness of what it has been sent with. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what it has been sent with. O Allah, may it be a rainstorm that brings benefit.
Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ma fiha wa khayra ma ursilat bihi, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma fiha wa sharri ma ursilat bihi. Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an.
When to Read
This dua is recited when a storm, particularly one with hail, is approaching or occurring. It's a comprehensive supplication asking for the blessings and protection of Allah during severe weather, acknowledging that even seemingly destructive forces are from Him and can hold good or ill.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a humble heart. Turn to Allah, recognizing His power over all creation. It is best recited aloud when experiencing the storm, or in anticipation of it. The latter part, 'Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an' (O Allah, may it be a rainstorm that brings benefit), can be recited specifically when praying for beneficial rain.
