Duas to recite before going to sleep
In Your name, my Lord, I lie down. In Your name, I rise. If You take my soul, have mercy on it. And if You release it, protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
O Allah, the Restorer of the lost, and the Guide of the stray, guide me to my lost item, and restore it to me by Your power and authority, for it is from Your giving and Your bounty.
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, and save me from what You have made unlawful, and enrich me by Your grace, so that I may not need the help of any other than You.
In Your name, my Lord, I lie down on my side. In Your name, I rise. If You take my soul, have mercy upon it, and if You keep it safe, guard it with what You guard Your righteous servants.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provisions, and accepted deeds.
In the name of Allah. I seek refuge by Your Noble Face from seizing me captive, or making me regretful, or bringing down Your might upon me, or causing Your wrath to descend upon me. And praise is for You until You are pleased, and there is no might nor power except with You.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.
By Your name, my Lord, I lay myself down. By Your name, I rise. If You seize my soul, then have mercy on it. If You release it, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
O Allah, I seek refuge with Your Noble Face and Your perfect words from every lowly thing, that is beneath Your might. O Allah, You seize by the forelock and bestow goodness from You, and none can repel evil save You.
O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your slaves.
In the name of Allah, I lay down my side. O Allah, forgive my sins, silence my devil, make me firm in my uprightness, make my scale heavy, and suffice me from my poverty. Do not let the devil overtake me in my wakefulness, cut off my enemy from me, protect me from the deceit of what You have given, and save me from the evil of badness, and do not grant me any evil in it.
