Duas taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all matters, and the resolve to follow what is right. I ask You for the ability to be grateful for Your favours and to worship You in the best manner. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the good that You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that You know. I ask Your forgiveness for what You know, for You are the Knower of all unseen things.
O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, and grant him well-being, and provide for him.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my heart, from the evil of my deeds, from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of my devil and my associating others (with Allah).
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge with You from the trial of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge with You from the trial of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from being overcome by debt and from being overcome by enemies and from the evil of enemies.
O Allah, teach me the Book (the Quran) and the reckoning, grant me understanding in the religion, and teach me the interpretation (of the Quran).
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the destruction of Your blessings, the reversal of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that displeases You. And I seek refuge in You from the hardships of tribulation, the attainment of wretchedness, the evil of destiny, and the rejoicing of enemies.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of the Fire; I seek refuge in You from the trial of wealth, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of poverty; I seek refuge in You from the trial of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Dajjal. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men. O Allah, grant my soul its piety, and purify it, for You are the Best of those who purify it; You are its Guardian and its Protector. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, and from a heart that does not humble itself, and from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.
O Allah, make light in my heart, and light in my sight, and light in my hearing, and light on my right, and light on my left, and light above me, and light below me, and light before me, and light behind me, and make light in my soul, and make for me light, and make me light.
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of suffering, the attainment of wretchedness, the evil of fate, and the rejoicing of enemies.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whispers of the devils and from their presence.
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all affairs, and determination in righteousness. I ask You for the grace to be thankful for Your blessings, and to worship You in the best manner. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I seek refuge in You from the evil of all that You know, and I ask You for the good of all that You know. And I seek Your forgiveness for all that You know.
