يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.
Ya muqallib-al-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik
When to Read
This is a foundational dua for every Muslim. We should recite it regularly, especially during times of confusion, temptation, or when we feel our faith wavering. It's particularly poignant after Salah, when our hearts are most receptive, or at any moment we seek Allah's strength to remain on the straight path.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, understanding that our hearts are in Allah's hands. Focus on the meaning: acknowledging Allah's power to change hearts and humbly asking Him to keep yours anchored to Islam. Raising your hands slightly, as was the practice of the Prophet ﷺ in some duas, can enhance the supplication.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua is incredibly powerful because it addresses the very core of our faith – our hearts. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, despite being the most righteous of creation, constantly turned to Allah to keep him firm. This teaches us humility and reliance on Allah for steadfastness. Reciting it reminds us that faith is not static; it requires constant nurturing and protection from the One who controls all affairs. It's a shield against doubt and a source of constant spiritual renewal.
