O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of suffering, the attainment of wretchedness, the evil of fate, and the rejoicing of enemies.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min jahdil-bala'i, wa darakish-shaqa'i, wa sui'il-qada'i, wa shamatatil-a'da'i.

Recite it during times of intense stress, uncertainty, or when facing oppression from any source, seeking Allah's direct intervention and protection.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere conviction and a heartfelt plea to Allah. Raise your hands slightly as you would during supplication, facing the Qiblah if possible. Utter the words clearly, contemplating their profound meaning. Believe in Allah's power to alleviate suffering, decree good, and protect you from the glee of your adversaries. It's best recited after prayers or at any time you feel the need for Allah's strength.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses seeking refuge from four major evils: the strenuous and exhausting nature of calamities ('jahd al-bala'); the deep despair and lasting misery that can follow ('darak ash-shaqa'); the negative and predetermined outcomes that might seem unbearable ('sui' al-qada'); and the painful satisfaction of enemies at one's downfall ('shamatat al-a'da'). By reciting this, we actively turn to Allah, the ultimate controller, for strength, resilience, and victory over hardship and ill-fortune, trusting in His perfect decree and protection from all forms of evil and gloating enemies.
