Duas for qiyam al-layl, tahajjud, and late night devotion
O Allah, I ask You for faith that penetrates my heart, truthful certainty, sincere repentance, a sound heart, abundant lawful provision, beneficial knowledge, righteous deeds, upright guidance, a great reward, and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. And I ask You for success in gaining Paradise and salvation from the Fire.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, grant me understanding in religion and teach me the interpretation (of the Quran).
O Allah, I ask You by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation. Keep me alive as long as You know life to be better for me, and take me unto Yourself when You know death to be better for me. O Allah, I ask You for Your fear in secret and in public, and I ask You for the word of truth in satisfaction and in anger. I ask You for moderation in poverty and wealth, and I ask You for everlasting bliss. I ask You for a comfort of the eye that does not cease. I ask You for contentment after (Your) decree, and I ask You for a pleasant life after death. I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face, and the eagerness to meet You, without any harmful adversity or misleading trial. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides, rightly guided. O Allah, protect our children and our offspring with Your Eye that never sleeps, and protect them with the protection of Islam, and make them among Your devoted servants and Your chosen ones, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, and from the evil of my sight, and from the evil of my tongue, and from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my sexual organ.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hellfire, and from the punishment of the grave, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal).
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
O Allah, I ask You for Your love and the love of those who love You, and for the love of any deed that will bring me to Your love. O Allah, make Your love more beloved to me than myself, my family, and than cold water.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
O Allah, I ask You for faith that fills my heart, and true certainty until I know that nothing will afflict me except what You have decreed for me. I ask You for contentment with what You have apportioned for me, and for contentment after (Your) decree. I ask You for a pleasant life after death, and the delight of looking at Your Face, and the longing to meet You, without any hardship causing harm or any trial leading astray. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who are guided.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, Lord of all things. The One who splits the grain and the date-stone. The Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an. I seek refuge in You from the evil of all evil-doers, for You are holding their forelocks. O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You. You are the Last, so there is nothing after You. You are the Mostๆพ (az-Zahir), so there is nothing above You. You are the Most Hidden (al-Batin), so there is nothing nearer than You. Dischar ge my debt and enrich me from poverty.
