Duas for qiyam al-layl, tahajjud, and late night devotion
O Allah, I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or have taught to any of Your creation, or have revealed in Your Book, or have kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my grief, and the banisher of my worries.
O Allah, guide me to the best of manners, for none can guide to the best of them except You, and turn me away from bad manners, for none can turn away from bad them except You.
O Allah, rectify the Ummah of Muhammad. O Allah, relieve the Ummah of Muhammad. O Allah, have mercy upon the Ummah of Muhammad.
O Allah, Lord of Jibreel, Mika'il, and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen. You judge between Your servants concerning that wherein they differ. Guide me concerning that wherein they differ of the truth by Your leave. Verily, You guide whom You will to a straight path.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provisions, and accepted deeds.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from associating partners with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all matters and determination in righteousness. I ask You for the things that bring about Your mercy and the means of Your forgiveness. I ask You to enable me to be grateful for Your blessings and to worship You in the best way. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the good You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil You know. I seek Your forgiveness for what You know, for indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.
O Allah, forgive me my sin, all of it, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provisions, and deeds that are accepted.
O Allah, I ask You by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation. Keep me alive so long as You know that life is better for me, and take me away [in death] when You know that death is better for me. O Allah, I ask You for Your fear in private and in public. I ask You for the word of truth in times of contentment and anger. I ask You for moderation in poverty and wealth. I ask You for everlasting bliss. I ask You for the joy of looking at Your countenance and the longing to meet You. (I ask for this) without any hardship that causes harm or any trial that leads astray. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who are guided.
O Allah, I ask You for a soul that is assured, believing in Your meeting, content with Your decree, and satisfied with Your giving.
