O Allah, rectify the Ummah of Muhammad. O Allah, relieve the Ummah of Muhammad. O Allah, have mercy upon the Ummah of Muhammad.

Allahumma aslih ummata Muhammad, Allahumma farrij 'an ummati Muhammad, Allahumma arham ummata Muhammad

When to Read

This profound dua is particularly potent during the sacred hours of Tahajjud (night prayer). It can be recited at any point during your Tahajjud prayer, especially during sujood (prostration) or after your obligatory prayers when your heart is most receptive to sincere supplication.

How to Read

Recite this dua with a sincere heart, focusing on the collective well-being of all Muslims, past, present, and future. Visualize the blessings of Allah encompassing the entire Ummah. Raise your hands in supplication as you would for any personal dua, embodying humility and dependence on Allah.

Virtues & Benefits

Making dua for the Ummah is a sign of genuine brotherhood and sisterhood in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized the efficacy of a Muslim's supplication for his absent brother. By extending your heartfelt prayers to the entire Ummah during the blessed time of Tahajjud, you are actively participating in the spiritual upliftment and protection of Muslims worldwide. Allah's mercy and assistance are most likely to descend during the deep hours of the night when the world is asleep and the sincere worshipper is awake.
