Duas for starting new endeavors, new year, new home, new job
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, benefit me from what You have taught me, and teach me what is beneficial for me, and increase me in knowledge.
O Allah, I ask of You its [or his] goodness and the goodness of that which You have decreed for it [or him], and I seek refuge in You from its [or his] evil and the evil of that which You have decreed for it [or him].
In the name of Allah, upon myself, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, make me act with a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this world and its afflictions, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of the Hereafter and its deeds, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I see and what I do not see.
O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this matter and the goodness of what is in it, and the goodness of what it brings. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this matter and the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what it brings. And I seek refuge in You from hardship and poverty.
I seek refuge for him/her in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous creature, and from every envious eye.
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.
O Allah, bless me in my family and bless them in me. O Allah, grant me their companionship and grant them my companionship. O Allah, unite us with goodness whenever You unite us, and separate us with goodness whenever You separate us.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and from being overcome by men.
O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.
O Allah, I seek Your guidance [in making a decision] with Your knowledge, and I seek ability [to fulfill it] with Your power, and I ask of You Your immense bounty. For indeed, You decree and I cannot decree, and You know and I know not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter - name it specifically - is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my Hereafter (or: in my present and my future), then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my Hereafter (or: in my present and my future), then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and decree for me whatever is good, and make me satisfied with it.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
