Duas for various evening activities and settling down
O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, there is no god but You, Lord of all things and their Possessor. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of Satan and his idolatry, and from bringing evil upon myself or directing it towards a Muslim.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing harms on earth nor in the heaven, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
O Allah, I have stood for the night, my eyes have humbled themselves before You, my soul has been patient, my heart has clung to my Lord, my tears have flowed, and my heart has softened for Your remembrance. O Allah, I ask You by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, to bring my heart to life with Your remembrance, to clear it of all save Your remembrance, and to make ease for me in my affair.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His creation, and from the whispers of devils and from their presence.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and the subjugation of men.
O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne. Our Lord and Lord of all things. The splitter of the grain and the date stone. The revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran. I seek refuge in You from the evil of all things, the forelock of which You are holding. O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You; You are the Last, so there is nothing after You; You are the apparent, so there is nothing above You; You are the hidden, so there is nothing closer than You. Discharge our debt and enrich us from poverty.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
In the name of Allah, I lay down on my side. O Allah, forgive me my sins, drive away my devil, release me from my pledge, and place me in the highest assembly.
