Evening remembrance and supplications
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow. I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess. I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and overpowered by men.
In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, do not let me feel secure from Your plan, do not let me forget Your remembrance, and do not make me among the heedless. And awaken me for the Fajr prayer at such-and-such time, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief. I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess. And I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the overpowering of men.
O Allah, guide me in it (this evening) to righteous deeds, and fulfill my needs and remove my afflictions. O You who has no one to complain to about His ailments except You, O Lord, forgive me and have mercy on me.
O Allah, make the best of my life the part that is nearing its end, and make the best of my deeds the concluding ones, and make the best of my days the day I meet You.
In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I raise it. If You should take my soul, then forgive it, and if You should send it back, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can cause harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hellfire, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal), and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the tyranny of men.
