بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can cause harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-'Aleem.
When to Read
This powerful invocation is recommended to be recited three times in the morning after Fajr prayer, and again three times in the evening after Maghrib prayer. It's a shield for you throughout the day and night.
How to Read
Recite it with sincere intention and full conviction in Allah's power. Focus on the meaning as you say it. It's best to say it while sitting, facing the Qiblah, after the morning/evening remembrance (adhkar).
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promised immense protection to those who recite this dua. He said: 'Whoever says this three times every morning and three times every evening, nothing will harm him.' (Sunan Abu Dawood 5088). This means Allah safeguards you from all calamities, visible and hidden, during that period.

Narrated by Abdullah bin Ghannam Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever says 'Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-'Aleem' (In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can cause harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing) three times every morning and three times every evening, nothing will harm him.' (Sunan Abu Dawood 5088, graded Sahih).
