Duas during times of difficulty and hardship
"O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds."
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demolition of Your blessings, and the changing of Your good health, and the suddenness of Your wrath, and all of Your displeasure. And I seek refuge in You from the trials of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of wealth, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of poverty, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of the Dajjal. O Allah, wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail. And purify my heart from sins, just as a white garment is purified from dirt. And keep me far from my sins, just as You have kept the East far from the West. O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment. And I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, and from a heart that does not humble itself, and from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the change of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your retribution, and all of Your displeasure.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is enforced. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You, which You have bestowed upon Yourself, or You have taught to any one of Your creation, or You have revealed in Your Book, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my grief, and a reliever of my worries.
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, our Lord and Lord of all things, the One who causes the grain and date seeds to split, the One who sent down the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an. I seek refuge in You from the evil of all things You are seizing by their forelocks. O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You; You are the Last, so there is nothing after You; You are the Apparent, so there is nothing above You; You are the Hidden, so there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debts for us and enrich us from poverty.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the turning of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the abominable morals, deeds, and desires.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the Giver of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
O Allah, grant me understanding in the religion.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, the reversal of Your good health, the suddenness of Your wrath, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
O Allah, I ask You for its (this matter's) goodness and the goodness of what You have decreed it to be, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what You have decreed it to be. O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness at the time of death, and guidance when people go astray. I ask You for coolness of the eye that never ceases, and I ask You for contentment after the decree. I ask You for a pleasant life after death, and I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face, and the longing to meet You, without any harmful distress or misleading trials. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us leaders who guide others and are guided.
