Duas during times of difficulty and hardship
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth and Lord of the Great Throne. Our Lord and Lord of all things, the One who causes the grain and the date-stone to split, and the One who revealed the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion (the Quran). I seek refuge in You from the evil of all things You are seizing by their forelocks. O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You; You are the Last, so there is nothing after You; You are the Manifest, so there is nothing above You; You are the Hidden, so there is nothing nearer than You. Discharge our debt and relieve us from poverty.
O Allah, indeed I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your justice over me is enacted. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the unseen knowledge with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sorrow, and the remover of my anxieties.
O Allah, we place You before them and we seek refuge in You from their evil.
O Allah, grant us rain! O Allah, grant us rain! O Allah, grant us rain!
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your decree concerning me prevails. Your judgment of me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which is with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
"O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion and upon Your obedience."
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the heavy burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
O Allah, make the best of my life the part that is last, and the best of my deeds the deeds that are done at the end, and the best of my days the day when I meet You.
