Duas during times of difficulty and hardship
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all matters, and determination in following the right path. I ask You to grant me the ability to be grateful for Your blessings, and to worship You in the best manner. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the good You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil I know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what You know, for indeed You are the Knower of hidden things.
O Allah, I seek Your guidance with Your knowledge, and I seek ability with Your power, and I ask of Your immense favor. For indeed, You have power and I have no power; You know and I do not know; and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (and he should name his need specifically) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my end โ or he said: in this life and the hereafter โ then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my end โ or he said: in this life and the hereafter โ then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and decree for me that which is good, wherever it may be, and make me pleased with it.
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demise of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your wrath, and all that incurs Your displeasure.
O Allah, I ask You for Al-Firdaus, the highest part of it, and the highest of Paradise is the Throne of the Most Merciful, and from it we seek. And I ask You for salvation from the Fire, and success at the reckoning.
O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I may not need anyone other than You.
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of Hellfire, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal).
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and from the domination of men.
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not entrust me to my own self for even the blink of an eye, and set all my affairs right for me. There is no god but You.
O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.
O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You make difficulty, if You wish, easy.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.
