Duas during times of difficulty and hardship
O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm on Your religion.
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy upon me, and join me with the Highest Companion.
In the name of Allah, the One with Whose name nothing can cause harm on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the passing away of Your favors, and from the change of Your protection, and from the suddenness of Your punishment, and from all that You are displeased with. I seek refuge in You from being demolished, I seek refuge in You from falling from a height, I seek refuge in You from drowning, burning, and old age. I seek refuge in You from being misled by Satan at the time of death. I seek refuge in You from dying in Your cause while turning my back. I seek refuge in You from dying from a venomous bite.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, and from the evil of my sight, and from the evil of my tongue, and from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my semen.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, and I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and from being overcome by men.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the subjugation of men.
In the name of Allah, the one with Whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds and to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. I ask You to forgive me and have mercy upon me. And if You intend to put Your creation to trial, then take me to Yourself without being put to trial. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which will bring me closer to Your love.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth nor in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective, and Your judgment concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to anyone in Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept hidden in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, we make You our shield against them, and we seek refuge in You from their evils.
