بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, the One with Whose name nothing can cause harm on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

Narrated by Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'Whoever says: *Bismillahilladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shai'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim* (In the name of Allah, the One with Whose name nothing can cause harm on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing), three times every morning, he will not be afflicted by sudden calamity before nightfall, and whoever says it three times in the evening, he will not be afflicted by sudden calamity before morning.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5087, Sunan Ibn Majah 3864)
