Duas during times of difficulty and hardship
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is inevitable, and Your judgment concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that is with You, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxiety.
In the name of Allah, my Lord, I ask You for the goodness of this journey and the goodness of what it contains, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this journey and the evil of what it contains. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, and from the sorrow of returning, and from misfortune after good fortune. And I seek refuge in You from a bad view concerning my property and my family.
O Allah, conceal our private parts and secure our fears. O Allah, protect our child with Your protection. In the name of Allah, I have trusted in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the passing away of Your blessings, the changing of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that displeases You.
There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of Hellfire, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal).
O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne! Be our protector from the evil of the sky, and the evil of the earth, and the evil of our devils, and the evil of our enemies, and the evil of everything that intends to bring us harm. Great is Your praise, Mighty is Your protection, Blessed is Your name, and there is no god but You. Except that You are all goodness, for indeed there is no god but You.
Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god but He. I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.
O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that benefits, lawful provision, and deeds that are accepted.
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.
O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and ease my anxieties. O Allah, protect me from my front, my back, my right, my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your magnificence from being taken from beneath me.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to anyone in Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept entirely to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my sadness and a reliever of my worries.
