Duas for relief from anxiety, worry, and distress
Verily, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. O Allah, record me among the martyrs and make my blood-shed in Your cause accepted. O Allah, You are my only one, and You are my unique one. O Allah, grant me Your love and the love of those whose love will benefit me. O Allah, whatever You have provided me that I love, make it strength for me in what You love. O Allah, and whatever You have kept away from me that I love, make it free for me in what You love.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective, and Your judgment concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or that You have taught to anyone from Your creation, or that You have sent down in Your Book, or that You have reserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or taught to any one of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the delight of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my sadness, and a reliever of my worries.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that is with You, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxiety.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is decisive, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself by, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or have kept unto Yourself in the hidden knowledge of You, that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sorrow, and the reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from the heavy burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or that You have taught to anyone among Your creation, or that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You have retained in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxiety.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever enacted. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept with You in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Qur'an the delight of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a remover of my sadness and a banisher of my anxiety.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the withdrawal of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from these.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is inevitable. Your justice in me is unavoidable. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that is with You, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my grief, and the dispeller of my worries.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is inevitable. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept with You in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my grief, and a reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, and I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me.
