O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is inevitable. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept with You in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my grief, and a reliever of my anxiety.
