Dua for Protection from Harmful Effects of Food
All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, that is not insufficient, nor is it ever abandoned, nor is He, our Lord, ever dispensed with.
O Allah, this was a bounty from You and charity from Your charities. O Allah, accept it from me and reward me with good.
Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when a table was cleared from the Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ, he said: 'All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, that is not insufficient, nor is it ever abandoned, nor is He, our Lord, ever dispensed with.'
He then said: 'Whoever says: 'All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, that is not insufficient, nor is it ever abandoned, nor is He, our Lord, ever dispensed with,' has said a great deal of the speech of this world and the Hereafter.'
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Allah's Messenger ๏ทบ said: 'Indeed Allah is pleased with His servant who praises Him after taking a bite, or praises Him after drinking a sip.'
