الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبُّنَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ هَذِهِ كَانَتْ نِعْمَةً مِنْكَ وَصَدَقَةً مِنْ صَدَقَاتِكَ اللَّهُمَّ فَتَقَبَّلْهَا مِنْي وَأَجْزِنِي خَيْرًا عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: لَمَّا رُفِعَتْ مَائِدَةٌ مِنْ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبَّنَا» قَالَ: «مَنْ قَالَ: «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبَّنَا»، فَقَدِ اسْتَكْثَرَ كَلَامَ الدُّنْيَا وَكَلَامَ الْآخِرَةِ» عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَرْضَى عَنْ عَبْدِهِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الأَكْلَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا، أَوْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا»
All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, that is not insufficient, nor is it ever abandoned, nor is He, our Lord, ever dispensed with. O Allah, this was a bounty from You and charity from Your charities. O Allah, accept it from me and reward me with good. Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when a table was cleared from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, he said: 'All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, that is not insufficient, nor is it ever abandoned, nor is He, our Lord, ever dispensed with.' He then said: 'Whoever says: 'All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, that is not insufficient, nor is it ever abandoned, nor is He, our Lord, ever dispensed with,' has said a great deal of the speech of this world and the Hereafter.' Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: 'Indeed Allah is pleased with His servant who praises Him after taking a bite, or praises Him after drinking a sip.'
Alhamdulillah-i hamdan kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fihi, ghaira makfiyyin wa la muwadda'in wa la mustaghna 'anhu Rabbana. Allahumma inna hadhihi kanat ni'matan minka wa sadaqatan min sadaqatik. Allahumma fa-taqabbalha minni wa ajzini khayran. 'an Abi Umamah qala: Lamma rufi'at ma'idatun 'ind an-Nabi ﷺ, qala: 'Alhamdulillah-i hamdan kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fihi, ghaira makfiyyin wa la muwadda'in wa la mustaghna 'anhu Rabbana.' Qala: 'Man qala: 'Alhamdulillah-i hamdan kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fihi, ghaira makfiyyin wa la muwadda'in wa la mustaghna 'anhu Rabbana', faqad istakthara kalam ad-dunya wa kalam al-akhirah.' 'an Anas bin Malik qala: Qala Rasulullah ﷺ: 'Innallaha la yarḍa 'an 'abdihi an ya'kul al-aklat fa-yaḥmadahu 'alayha, aw yashrab ash-shurbata fa-yaḥmadahu 'alayha.'
