O Allah, forgive him/her, have mercy on him/her, grant him/her ease, pardon him/her, honor his/her reception, make his/her grave spacious, cleanse him/her with water, snow, and hail. Purify him/her from sins just as a white garment is purified from dirt. Replace his/her home with a better home, his/her family with a better family, and his/her spouse with a better spouse. O Allah, do not deprive us of its (i.e. the deceased's) reward, and do not let us go astray after him.
O Allah, guide me in it (this day) towards Your closeness, let me taste the sweetness of Your remembrance in it, and inspire me to perform Your gratitude by Your protection, O Protector of the fearful.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and sorrow, from weakness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from the heavy burden of debt and from being overcome by men.
