O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female-servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment is effective upon me, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxieties.
O Allah, grant us life, and grant us death, and to You is the return (and resurrection).
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.
Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You on this journey of ours for goodness and piety, and for deeds that please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and let its distance be short for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the One Who looks after the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, from a sorrowful sight, and from evil consequences in wealth and family.

In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah. There is no might nor power except with Allah.
Praise be to Allah Who gave us death after He gave us life, and to Him is the return.
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, instead of what You have made unlawful, and enrich me with Your bounty, so that I may not need help from anyone other than You.
O Allah, grant me understanding of the religion and teach me its interpretation.
O Allah, grant us rain. O Allah, grant us rain. O Allah, grant us rain.
O Allah, guide me to the best of manners, for none can guide to the best of them but You. And turn away from me the evil of them, for none can turn away the evil of them but You.
O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.
