O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female-servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment is effective upon me, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxieties.
Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka. As'aluka bikulli ismin huwa lak, sammayta bihi nafsak, aw anzaltahu fi kitabiq, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqiq, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm il-ghaybi 'indak, an taj'al al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jala'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'No servant is afflicted with distress or grief and says: O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command concerning me prevails, and Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself by, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or which You have kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that You have, that You make the Qur’an the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a banisher of my sadness and a remover of my anxiety, but Allah will remove his distress and grief and will replace them with (relief).' — Sahih Muslim 708
