اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

Allahumma aftah li abwaba rahmatik

When to Read

This dua is recited upon entering the Masjid (mosque). It's a beautiful way to begin your worship, asking Allah to envelop you in His mercy as you step into His house.

How to Read

Recite this dua after you have stepped across the threshold of the Masjid, ideally with your right foot. Maintain a state of humility and focus, remembering you are entering a sacred space.

By asking for the doors of Allah's mercy to be opened, we are essentially seeking His vast blessings, forgiveness, and divine assistance in our worship and in all aspects of our lives. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, ‘When one of you enters the mosque, let him say: Allahumma aftah li abwaba rahmatik (O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy).’ And when he leaves the mosque, let him say: Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik (O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty).
