O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your handmaiden. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or kept exclusively unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my anxiety.

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all they cover, Lord of the seven earths and all they hold, Lord of the devils and all they lead astray, Lord of the wind and all it drives, I ask You for the good of this village and the good of its people and the good of all that is within it. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, and the evil of its people, and the evil of all that is within it.

O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, our Lord and the Lord of all things, the Cleaver of the grain and the date-stone, the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every moving creature, the forelock of which You seize. O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You; You are the Last, so there is nothing after You; You are the Outwardly Apparent, so there is nothing above You; You are the Inwardly Hidden, so there is nothing nearer than You. Grant us relief from our debt and enrich us from poverty.
