Narrated Abu Bakra: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) saying, during the prayer, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and from spending all my wealth or a large portion of it in the way of Allah, and from the evil of the cunning of the enemy, and from the evil of the trials of the life of the world.' And he used to say the same thing: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief, and from poverty, and from the torment of the grave.' And when he would finish his prayer, he would say: 'O Allah, grant me sound judgment in my affairs, and bring about my success, and protect me from the disgrace of this world and the disgrace of the hereafter. O Allah, I hope in Your mercy, so do not entrust me to my own self for even the blink of an eye, and set all my affairs right for me. There is no god but You.'
