Duas taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
O Allah, teach him wisdom and the interpretation of the Book.
O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help.
O Allah, increase his wealth and his children, lengthen his life, and forgive his sins.
"Rather, with the Highest Companion. O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, and join me with the Highest Companion."
O Allah, bless their measures, and bless their Sa' (a dry measure), and bless their Mudd (a smaller dry measure).
O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and that which brings me closer to it in word and deed. And I seek refuge in You from the Hellfire and that which brings me closer to it in word and deed. O Allah, I ask You for the best that Your servant and Prophet has asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from the worst that Your servant and Prophet has sought refuge from. And I ask You, concerning what You have decreed for me, that You make its outcome righteous.
In the name of Allah, the soil of our land mixed with the saliva of some of us, may our sick be healed by the permission of our Lord.
The thirst has gone, the veins are quenched, and the reward is assured, if Allah wills.
O Allah, I ask You for its (Makkah's) goodness, and the goodness of its people, and the goodness of whatever is within it. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, and the evil of its people, and the evil of whatever is within it.
There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs dominion and to Him belongs all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is ever-living and never dies. In His hand is all good, and He is competent over all things.
The best of supplications is the supplication of the Day of Arafah, and the best thing that I and the Prophets before me have said is: 'Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi' (Glory be to Allah, and all praise is due to Him).
O Allah, answer him when he calls upon You, forgive him when he seeks Your forgiveness, bring him near to You with a closeness that shields him from all Your creation, do not let his speech be scattered, do not let his affairs be gathered [in confusion], do not pay him heed [i.e., do not let him be preoccupied with worldly matters or His anger], and do not return him disappointed. O Lord, grant him the best of what You grant Your righteous servants.
