Duas for patience during trials and hardships
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever established. Your justice concerning me is inevitable. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which is with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the solver of my worries.
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.
"O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds."
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.
O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, and the reversal of Your well-being, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from ruin, and I seek refuge in You from falling, and I seek refuge in You from drowning, and extreme old age, and I seek refuge in You from being misguided by Satan at the time of death, and I seek refuge in You from dying in Your path fleeing. O Allah, I ask You for patience at the time of decree, and the dwelling of martyrs, and the life of the happy, and victory over the enemies. Indeed, You see what cannot be seen, and You know what is in the chests.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the turning of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all that displeases You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, from weakness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, from the burden of debt, and from the overpowering of men.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, and the reversal of the good health You have granted, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that which incurs Your displeasure.
O Allah, place light within my heart, and light within my sight, and light within my hearing, and light to my right, and light to my left, and light before me, and light behind me, and light above me, and light beneath me. And make light for me.
O Allah, I ask You for patience in the face of what I dislike, a life after death, relief at the time of Your wrath, ease after hardship, and pleasure after death. O Allah, I ask You for the pleasure of looking at Your Face, and longing to meet You, without any distress that harms or misguidance that leads astray. O Allah, adorn me with the adornment of faith, and make me a guide who is guided.
O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy. If You wish, You can make distress easy.
