Duas for strength in old age and caring for elderly parents
O Allah, forgive my mistakes and my ignorance, and my extravagance in my affairs, and whatever You know better about me than I do. O Allah, forgive me for my seriousness and my jesting, and my errors and my intentional acts, and whatever mistakes I have made. I ask You for guidance and piety, abstinence and contentment.
O Allah, forgive the Muslim men and women, and the believing men and women. Rectify their affairs between them, and unite their hearts. Make the earth subservient to them, and send down Your blessings upon them. Make them guided and guiding. Grant them victory over their enemies. Inspire them to fulfill what You have obligated upon them, and inspire them to remember and thank You. Improve their outcome in all their affairs, grant them well-being from all evil, and protect them from the evil of what You have decreed to be evil.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from helplessness, laziness, cowardice, old age, and miserliness. I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the trials of life and death.
My Lord, grant me from Yourself, pure offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
O Allah, make the reward of all my deeds, the first of them and the last of them, the public and the secret, the reward of the earliest and the greatest and the most excellent hour. O Allah, let my enemies be targeted by my wealth, and do not target any of them with my body. O Allah, I ask You to fill my heart with Your fear, and to protect my chastity, and to make my provision abundant within Your provision, and to make my deeds accepted by You. And make my reward the reward of Ya'qub (peace be upon him), and loosen my tongue for Your remembrance, and fill my heart with Your light, and guide me with Your light, and protect me from the evil of Satan and the evil of all things, and open to me the doors of Your mercy, and have mercy on me with Your mercy, a vast mercy with which You make me content with my worldly life and my Hereafter. And make my hands busy with Your remembrance and following Your command, and grant me obedience to You and to Your Messenger, and protect me from the disgrace of this world and the Hereafter, and protect me from the punishment of the grave, and protect me from the punishment of the Fire.
O Allah, forgive me my mistakes and my ignorance, and my extravagance in my affairs, and all that You know better than I. O Allah, forgive me my jesting and my seriousness, and my errors and my deliberate acts, and all that is with me. O Allah, forgive me what I have sent forth and what I have postponed, and what I have concealed and what I have done openly, and what You know better than I. You are the One Who sends forth and You are the One Who delays, and You have power over all things.
O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present among us and those who are absent, our males and our females, our young and our old, our free and our owned. O Allah, whoever You keep alive among us, keep him alive upon Islam, and whoever You cause to die among us, cause him to die upon faith. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward and do not let us go astray after him.
O Allah, forgive me and my parents, and have mercy on them as they cared for me when I was young.
O Allah, the stars have set, and the eyes have become calm, and You are the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes You. O Ever-Living, O Sustainer! Quiet my night and make my eyes sleep.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from old age, the ravages of time, sorrow, jest, ignorance, laziness, stinginess, and vain desires. And from a sin that You do not forgive, and from an action that You do not accept, and from a supplication that You do not hear. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, the reversal of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of the Fire, and from the evil of wealth, and from the evil of poverty, and from the evil of hearing, and from the evil of sight, and from the evil of the tongue, and from the evil of the heart, and from the evil of seminal discharge.
"My Lord, forgive me and my parents and have mercy on them as they cared for me when I was young."
