Duas for qiyam al-layl, tahajjud, and late night devotion
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove this suffering, heal (him/her/it), You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no disease behind.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and being overpowered by men.
O Allah, increase my love for Your Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ and help me in establishing the night prayer.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His creation, and from the whisperings of the devils, and from their presence.
O Allah, I ask You for a soul at ease, believing in Your meeting, content with Your decree, and satisfied with Your gift.
O Allah, indeed I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your slave-woman. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever established. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept with You in the knowledge of the unseen, to make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my sorrow, and a reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
O Allah, I ask You by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation. Keep me alive as long as You know that life is better for me, and cause me to die when You know that death is better for me. O Allah, I ask You to instil in me the fear of You, whether in secret or in public. I ask You to make me utter the word of truth in times of contentment and anger. I ask You for moderation in poverty and wealth. I ask You for bliss that never perishes, for coolness of the eye that never ceases, and for contentment with Your decree. I ask You for a pleasant life after death, and the delight of looking at Your Face, and the eagerness to meet You, without any harmful distress or misleading trials. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who guide others (to the right path).
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, and to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. And I ask You to forgive me and have mercy upon me. And when You intend to bring a trial to Your creation, take me to Yourself without putting me through it. And I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.
O Allah, guide me to the truth in that over which people differ, by Your leave. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path.
O Allah, teach me from Your knowledge, make me understand, grant me wisdom in my affairs, show me the truth as truth and grant me the ability to follow it, and show me falsehood as falsehood and grant me the ability to avoid it, and do not confuse my affairs for me, and conclude my matters with goodness.
O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light to my right, light to my left, light above me, light below me, light before me, light behind me, place light within my soul, make for me a great light, and make for me light upon light.
