O Allah, Lord of Gabriel, Michael, and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You judge between Your servants concerning that over which they used to differ. Guide me to the truth about that wherein they differed by Your permission. Indeed, You guide whomsoever You will to a straight path.
Allahumma Rabba Jibra'ila wa Mika'ila wa Israfila, Fatiras-samawati wal-ardi, 'Alimal-ghaybi wash-shahadati, Anta tahkumu bayna 'ibadika fima kanu fihi yakhtalifun, ihdini limakhtulifa fihi minal-haqqi bi idnik, innaka tahdi man tasha'u ila siratin mustaqim.

This powerful supplication is a direct request to Allah for guidance to the truth, especially when facing confusion or disagreement. By invoking Him as the Lord of the highest angels and the Creator of the universe, you are acknowledging His ultimate authority and wisdom. Reciting this during night worship, a time when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized its virtue, aligns your supplication with a period of increased divine attention and potential acceptance. It is a way to seek the Prophet's ﷺ intercession indirectly by following the practices he himself valued and encouraged, and by asking Allah for the very guidance the Prophet ﷺ exemplified.
