Dua for Clarity in Career Decisions During Tahajjud

Night Worship & Tahajjud
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 7:105

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.

When to Read

This powerful supplication is especially potent during the stillness of Tahajjud, the night prayer. When you're standing before Allah, the universe hushed around you, is the perfect time to seek His guidance for significant life choices like career paths. The quiet solitude allows for deep reflection and sincere asking, making this dua a cornerstone of seeking divine clarity when faced with important decisions.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincere intention and a hopeful heart during your Tahajjud prayer, preferably after completing your rak'ahs and before concluding with your regular supplications. Imagine Allah, the All-Knowing, listening to your heartfelt plea. Focus on the meaning of each word: asking for knowledge that truly benefits you, provision that is pure and lawful, and deeds that are accepted by Him. Raising your hands in supplication while reciting is Sunnah.
