Duas for qiyam al-layl, tahajjud, and late night devotion
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty, and I seek refuge in You from scarcity and humiliation, and I seek refuge in You from wronging others or being wronged, from transgressing or being transgressed against, from exceeding limits or having limits exceeded upon me, and from asking from other than You.
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion and on Your obedience.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.
O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, there is no god but You, Lord of all things and their Master. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of Satan and his traps, and from bringing evil upon myself or drawing it towards any Muslim.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of character, deeds, and desires.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, and from the evil of my sight, and from the evil of my tongue, and from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my semen.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and grief, and I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and overpowered by men.
O Allah, I ask You for the inability to act [when acting would be wrong], and the ability to act [when acting is right]; and freedom from blame [in fulfilling obligations], and strength to fulfill them; and gratitude for fulfilling them, and the desire to fulfill them. And I ask You, O Allah, for strength in religion, and strength in the body, and strength in the intellect, and strength in knowledge, and strength in Jihaad, and strength in patience. And I ask You, O Allah, for a straight path, and I ask You, O Allah, to keep away from desires. And I ask You, O Allah, for repentance before death, and mercy at death, and forgiveness after death. And I ask You, O Allah, for the pleasure of looking at Your Face, and longing to meet You, without hardship that causes harm, nor trials that lead astray. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who are guided.
O Allah, our Lord, to You is all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them. And to You is all praise. Yours is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them. And to You is all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them. And to You is all praise. You are the King of the heavens and the earth. And to You is all praise. You are the Truth, and Your promise is Truth, and meeting You is Truth, and Your word is Truth, and Paradise is Truth, and the Fire is Truth, and the Prophets are Truth, and Muhammad ๏ทบ is Truth, and the Hour is Truth. O Allah, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed, and upon You I have relied, and to You I have turned, and by You I have disputed, and to You I have appealed for judgment. So forgive me what I have sent forth and what I have delayed, and what I have concealed and what I have made public. You are the One Who sends forth and the One Who delays. There is no god but You. (Or: There is no god other than You.)
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, to You be all praise; You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. To You be all praise; You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. To You be all praise; You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. To You be all praise; Yours is the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. To You be all praise; You are the Truth, Your promise is true, Your word is true, the meeting with You is true, Paradise is true, the Fire is true, the Prophets are true, Muhammad is true, and the Hour is true. O Allah, to You I have submitted, in You I have placed my trust, in You I have believed, to You I have turned in repentance, for Your sake I have disputed, and to You I have referred for judgment. Forgive me then, what I have sent forth and what I have held back, what I have hidden and what I have made public. You are the Advancer and You are the Delayer. There is none worthy of worship except You (or 'There is no god other than You').
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.
